A new kind of store has recently been delivered to downtown Harrisonburg: Over The Moon, a maternity + baby boutique. This store offers a unique shopping experience for new and more experienced moms alike and is also a great place to find cute gifts for expecting friends or family.
AnneCallie Skillman and Ren Blackwell are the ambitious young owners of this brand-new business and they have created Over The Moon to be the place to find all your baby necessities, such as toys, books, clothes, nursing supplies, nursery furniture, and more. Mothers will also be able to find cute maternity clothes and other items to keep looking great during their pregnancy.
In addition to selling merchandise, AnneCallie and Ren will offer workshops for new mothers to learn about how to make their own baby food, cloth diapering, mommy and me yoga, and prenatal massage.
AnneCallie and Ren want to give their customers a more personal experience every time they come to visit. “We like the feel of the downtown community,” said AnneCallie. Every guest will receive any advice they need to make the best decision about their purchases. These ladies believe in listening to the community’s needs and input to make their shop the best it can be and hope it will bring something special to downtown Harrisonburg.
Over the Moon will celebrate its grand opening tomorrow, Saturday, December 8 starting at 11 am and continuing through the Shop Til You Drop Holiday Open House. Becky Bartells will offer free chair massages from 12-3pm and there will also be the following specials:
- Drawing for an Ergo baby carrier
- Giveaways for purchases over $50
- Cupcakes and cider
