Pennybackers restaurant opens today

Pennybackers restaurant opens today! Check out their great sandwiches, Ott-tots and more at 14 E. Water Street. The HDR staff went to lunch during its soft opening this Wednesday and had an enjoyable experience. The family-friendly restaurant offers “casual food and fun” and is already up to 241 fans on its Facebook page. 1) Franklin’s Cafe is under new management. Stop by and welcome the newcomers to downtown.

2) Cuchi Guidos will be filling the gap left by Luigi’s Pizza Co. at 95 S. Main St. They will be offering Philly cheesesteaks, Jersey hoagies and hand tossed Brooklyn-style pizza.

  1. Ate there Saturday. We had great sandwiches and salad! That’s always a good incentive to go back and try more – which we plan on doing. It’s nice to have a good, local sandwich shop back in town!

  3. Cuchi Guidos kicks off this weekend with stand-up comedy also on the menu:

    The Justice League of Comedy will be staging a single free show at the newly-opened Cuchi Guido’s (95 South Main Street, Harrisonburg VA) on Saturday, January 23rd at 7:30pm. Performing that night will be Charlotte-area comic John Dunn, Michelle Gagliano and JLC founders Kyle Davis and King Rich. The show is free to the general public.
