The popular restaurant week in Harrisonburg, Taste of Downtown, returns this weekend, March 7 – 13 with even more restaurant and menu choices than last year. In only three years this event has nearly doubled in size. Starting on March 7, 16 restaurants will offer multi-course menus at reduced prices, showcasing the creativity and culinary skills of Harrisonburg’s downtown chefs.
This is the first time that the Harrisonburg Downtown Dining Alliance voted to hold the event for seven days rather than three.
Says HDR executive director Eddie Bumbaugh, the event was so popular that it made sense to give the public more time to try the amazing menus offered by the restaurants. The expansion began last year by adding a lunch option and this year we are really pleased to announce a full week of restaurant specials.
No tickets are required for Taste of Downtown. Restaurant hours vary, so call ahead for details. Event information has already been posted in an earlier post, but can also be viewed at www.downtownharrisonburg.org.
