Q: After 10 years of revitalizing downtown Harrisonburg, are there any new organizational developments for HDR?
A: During HDR’s founding, a brand was developed to promote the organization and the downtown district. Our visual identity has been effective for a decade, but the time has come to update our image to better reflect the current work of the organization while maintaining ties to our past.
In 2014, our goal is to launch a refreshed brand for the organization that integrates the traditional, historic feel of the original HDR logo with a more modern look.
HDR recently contracted with Sidecar Studio and Immerge Technologies, both local firms with a history of supporting downtown revitalization, to assist with our rebranding. Sidecar Studio will provide an updated look while maintaining the classic HDR blue and gold, and Immerge Technologies will then implement this look along with improved functionality into a new website for HDR.
HDR has also made some other organizational changes. The staff’s job descriptions and titles have been updated to more accurately highlight the skills, responsibilities, and commitment of our outstanding team. We are pleased to announce the new titles as:
- Trisha Blosser – Director of Resources
- Kim Kirk – Director of Events
- Nicole Martorana – Director of Promotions
We are fortunate to have the services of this awesome team.
Eddie Bumbaugh is the Executive Director for Harrisonburg Downtown Renaissance.
